Hi,
my name is Taylor and I am an allied health major. I'm a sophomore and I plan
on going to PA school after I graduate from UConn. For as long as I can remember
I have always wanted to travel to Cape Town. I guess I can say that I'm looking
for adventure and South Africa seems like a good place to start. The
internships available through the study abroad program interested me further
because as a pre-PA student, I am constantly looking for new ways to gain
patient care experience. I honestly could not be happier that I was chosen to
participate in this study abroad program. I was nervous the whole decision week
and my impatient attitude did not help. I got the acceptance email in the
middle of class and my professor asked me why I couldn't stop smiling. I
probably looked like a crazy person grinning at my phone! I can't believe it's
less than 3 months until we leave for our trip. The holidays are my favorite
time of year but I can't help but hope that they pass quickly this year because
I am so ready to begin our journey to Cape Town and embark on the adventure of
a life time!
