2015 Co-educators
2015 UConn Co-educators Begin Their Cape Town Adventures

WELCOME TO OUR BLOG

As anyone who has participated in UConn's Education Abroad in Cape Town will tell you, there are no words to adequately explain the depth of the experiences, no illustrations to sufficiently describe the hospitality of the people, and no pictures to begin to capture the exquisite scenery. Therefore this blog is only intended to provide an unfolding story of the those co-educators who are traveling together as companions on this amazing journey.

As Resident Director of this program since 2008 it is once again my privilege and honor to accompany another group of students to this place I have come to know and love.

In peace, with hope,

Dani always knew she wanted to study in Cape Town

My name is Dani and I am a Sophomore Allied Health Sciences major.  I always knew that I wanted to study abroad in Cape Town because it has always been one of my favorite places in the world.  I have lots of family in South Africa, and having the chance to live in Cape Town for a few months is extremely exciting.  I was thrilled to learn that I have been accepted into this program, and cannot wait for all of the adventures to come.  Being a part of this program will give me the chance to see South Africa in a new light and to learn so much more about the country.  I also do not mind missing most of the infamous Storrs winter weather to be in such a beautiful country!
