2015 Co-educators
2015 UConn Co-educators Begin Their Cape Town Adventures

WELCOME TO OUR BLOG

As anyone who has participated in UConn's Education Abroad in Cape Town will tell you, there are no words to adequately explain the depth of the experiences, no illustrations to sufficiently describe the hospitality of the people, and no pictures to begin to capture the exquisite scenery. Therefore this blog is only intended to provide an unfolding story of the those co-educators who are traveling together as companions on this amazing journey.

As Resident Director of this program since 2008 it is once again my privilege and honor to accompany another group of students to this place I have come to know and love.

In peace, with hope,

Molly counting down the days until departure

Hi I am Molly O'Hare and I am a sophomore biological science major with a chemistry minor. After my undergrad career I hope to attend dental school. I wanted to study abroad in Cape Town for many reasons including the internship program. Here in the states it is very hard to find work to do in the medical field for experience before getting your medical license. I was exited to be able to help people that have poor medical treatment and also be able to get experience and insight into my future. I also love outdoors and hiking and animals and I feel that South Africa offers me a unique experience that no other program can. I am so overwhelmed with excitement to be able to spend a semester in Cape Town and am counting down the days until our departure.
