2015 Co-educators
2015 UConn Co-educators Begin Their Cape Town Adventures

WELCOME TO OUR BLOG

As anyone who has participated in UConn's Education Abroad in Cape Town will tell you, there are no words to adequately explain the depth of the experiences, no illustrations to sufficiently describe the hospitality of the people, and no pictures to begin to capture the exquisite scenery. Therefore this blog is only intended to provide an unfolding story of the those co-educators who are traveling together as companions on this amazing journey.

As Resident Director of this program since 2008 it is once again my privilege and honor to accompany another group of students to this place I have come to know and love.

In peace, with hope,

John's grateful UConn offers such an amazing program

My name is John Garcia, a senior currently working on my B.S. in Allied Health Sciences with a health sciences concentration. When looking for another study abroad program to go on, I realized that the UConn in Cape Town program was essentially the perfect program for me. Not only does this program offer great educational value to its participants but it also offers an unforgettable worldly experience. In my opinion, knowledge and education are one of the most powerful tools we have and it has always been a goal of mine to get the best education I can. I believe this program will help me do just that. I will be able to learn and broaden my outlook on human life, culture, and healthcare systems and I am grateful for UConn’s offer of such an amazing program
